Glenna Berdahl, Certified Director

Meet Glenna Berdahl, our director. A member of Bridger Mountain Harmony chorus since 1983, she became our director in 1997. The following year, she won the "1998 Novice Director Award" at our regional competition. Glenna continues to hone her directing skills and push our chorus to new levels of excellence. In 2007 she completed the Director’s Certification Program (DCP) and earned the title of Certified Director. Glenna did not leave singing behind when she became our director. For several years, Glenna sang bass in the Five Valley Chorus which competed at the International competition in Detroit in 2005, in Calgary in 2007, and in Nashville in 2009. She currently serves on the Regional Management Team as Director Coordinator.

Glenna earned her degree at Dickinson State University in North Dakota and taught music K-8. She presently teaches piano and is employed by Eckroth Music.

It seems music has always been a part of Glenna’s life as her dad played sax and clarinet in bands in Arizona and North Dakota while her mom has retired from singing barbershop. Glenna and her husband Orley, who plays in a local dance band, have four children, two of whom sing with Sweet Adelines. Glenna has done a super job directing our chorus and incorporating many new members who have joined us in recent years.

Natalie Berdahl, Assistant Director

Natalie Berdahl has been a member of BMH since 2001 and Assistant Director since 2004. She is also the director of the Bozeman Chord Rustlers and head choreographer for both choruses. Natalie also serves as the girls’ clinician for the Big Sky Youth Harmony Rendezvous Camp and other youth camps in the Northwest and teaches voice lessons. When she is NOT doing barbershop, she loves the outdoors and is planning on attending school to finish her film degree.
