Bridger Mountain Harmony is a women’s barbershop chorus based in Bozeman, MT. It is a chartered member of Sweet Adelines International, a worldwide organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony thorugh education and performance. This is not your mother’s barbershop. Today the barbershop style is applied to everything from the golden oldies to recent hits to give a performance that will delight young and old alike.

Rehearsals are generally held every Monday at 7pm at the Little Red Schoolhouse across from Anderson Elementary School, 10040 Cottonwood Road. You can view a map of the location. Mar., ’10: Bridger Mountain Harmony Wins Regional Awards

Bridger Mountain Harmony Chorus won two awards at regional competition in Spokane, WA, March 19-20. The Harmonize the World Award honors their performances and community involvement. They received the GYPCI (Greatest Yearly PerCent Increase) Award for membership growth of 155% over the past year. The chorus is part of Sweet Adelines International Region 24 which includes 19 choruses in Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon.

The chorus performed in several local shows during the past year, including their Spring Sing, the Chord Rustlers’ annual show, their Christmas show Santa’s Workshop, and ’Twas the Night Before Christmas presented by the Main Street Dance Theater. They sang for various area retirement homes throughout the year and for events such as the Livingston Health Fair and the Belgrade Festival of Lights. Members of the chorus helped with the Big Sky Youth Harmony Rendezvous, a four-day music camp for high school students. Chorus members also directed traffic for the Bozeman Classic Race.

Mar., ’10: Bridger Mountain Harmony Places 9th at Regional Competition

Bridger Mountain Harmony Chorus placed 9th out of 14 choruses at regional competition this year. They worked hard over the last year to improve their singing skills. The many compliments they received from peers on their performance show that work paid off.

Dec., ’09: Bridger Mountain Harmony Will Perform with Main Street Dance Theatre

Bridger Mountain Harmony has been invited to perform again in the Christmas show, ’Twas the Night Before Christmas, put on by Main Street Dance Theatre, Dec. 20 at the Willson.

Dec., ’09: Bridger Mountain Harmony presents Santa’s Workshop Christmas Show

Bridger Mountain Harmony will present its Christmas show, Santa’s Workshop at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at the Church of the Nazarene (315 S. 19th) in Bozeman. The show will feature Bridger Mountain Harmony as well as men’s and women’s barbershop quartets and the Chord Rustlers. A dessert buffet will follow the performance.

Nov., ’09: Bridger Mountain Harmony bids farewell to a Charter Member

Charter Member Melanie Dilts passed away on Nov. 8, 2009 after a long and valiant struggle with cancer. The chorus, joined by former members and Five Valley Chorus members, sang at her funeral which was a barbershop celebration of her life. She will be missed by all.

Nov, ’09: Chorus Participates in Veterans’ Day Show

Bridger Mountain Harmony was invited to perform in the Chord Rustlers’ Veterns’ Day show at the Senior Center in Bozeman. They sang Boogie, Woogie Bugle Boy and God Bless the USA.
